BC invited 10 Entrepreneur Immigration Base registrants and fewer than 5 Regional registrants on October 20, 2026, both at a minimum score of 118.
On October 20, 2026, the BC Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) held an Entrepreneur Immigration invitation round: 10 invitations in the Base stream and fewer than 5 in the Regional stream, both at a minimum score of 118. This is a routine monthly round published by WelcomeBC, not a change to the program's rules. The cut-off is one point lower than September's 119.

Who this applies to
Only people who have already registered in the BC PNP Entrepreneur Immigration pool and been scored could be invited. WelcomeBC states that invitations go to qualified registrations received before the date of the draw, and that registering does not guarantee an invitation. The two streams have different minimum requirements:
| Requirement | Base stream | Regional stream |
|---|---|---|
| Personal net worth | $600,000 | $300,000 |
| Personal investment in the business | $200,000 | $100,000 |
| Business experience | 3 years as owner-manager in the last 10 years | 3 years as owner-manager in the last 5 years |
| New full-time jobs | At least 1 for a Canadian citizen or PR | At least 1 for a Canadian citizen or PR |
| Language | CLB 4 | CLB 4 |
| Community referral | Not required | Required |
| Exploratory visit | Recommended | Required |
What it does not change
Entrepreneur Immigration is a two-step route, and an invitation is only the start.
An invitation lets you apply to the BC PNP; it is not a nomination. Successful applicants sign a Performance Agreement, receive a Letter of Support for a work permit, run their business in B.C., and file a final report 18 to 20 months after arrival. Only if the BC PNP is satisfied at that point is a nomination issued, after which the applicant applies to IRCC for permanent residence.
What to do next
For an overview of provincial business routes, see our provincial entrepreneur programs page, or request an assessment to check which route fits your profile.
- If you were invited: WelcomeBC allows up to four months from the date of invitation to submit a complete application, and a BC PNP-authorized accounting firm must verify your net worth and the source of your funds.
- If you are registered but were not invited: qualified registrations stay in the pool for up to six months, so check when yours expires.
- If you are considering registering: compare your net worth, investment and management experience with the table above before preparing a business concept.
Past cut-offs do not predict future rounds. No outcome is guaranteed, and processing times are estimates. Official round results are on WelcomeBC's invitations page.
