Yes — the table above pulls directly from our own database of Provincial Nominee Program results and refreshes automatically as new draws are published, typically within hours of a province announcing. There is no manual publishing delay.

Coverage depends on what each province publishes and how often. Currently tracked: British Columbia (Base, Regional, and the Innovate/Care/Build sub-streams), Manitoba's MPNP, Newfoundland & Labrador's NLPNP, Prince Edward Island's PNP, and Quebec's PSTQ (Arrima), plus the Express Entry-linked Provincial Nominee stream that runs through IRCC itself. If a province you're interested in isn't showing recent results here, check that province's own PNP program page directly — not every province publishes draws on the same schedule.

An Express Entry draw is run by IRCC directly and invites candidates already in the federal pool. A PNP draw is run by a province or territory and works two ways: some provinces nominate candidates who are already in the Express Entry pool (an "enhanced" nomination, which adds 600 CRS points — the maximum available under the CRS's additional-points category), while other PNP streams operate entirely outside Express Entry with their own paper-based application process and no CRS score involved at all. The table above tags each row by category so you can tell which type you're looking at.

A provincial nomination through the Express Entry-linked stream adds exactly 600 CRS points — the maximum IRCC allows for the entire "additional points" category, so it doesn't stack with other additional-points bonuses beyond that cap.

IRCC has not run a general, all-program Express Entry round — the type of draw a Federal Skilled Worker candidate can enter without a category match or Canadian work experience — since April 23, 2024, with a CRS cut-off of 529 and 2,095 invitations issued. Every Express Entry round since has been either category-based (French language, healthcare, STEM, trades, transport, education, and other occupation groups — check the table above for the current list) or restricted to the Canadian Experience Class. If your profile does not match an active category and you do not have qualifying Canadian work experience, there is currently no active Express Entry invitation pathway for you specifically as an FSW-only candidate.

These are the three programs a candidate can qualify under to enter the Express Entry pool. The Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSW) is points-based and does not require a Canadian job offer. The Canadian Experience Class (CEC) requires at least one year of skilled work experience in Canada. The Federal Skilled Trades Program (FST) requires a qualifying skilled trade plus either a valid job offer or a certificate of qualification from a Canadian province or territory. All three compete together when a general round happens; category-based and CEC-specific rounds only draw from candidates who separately match those specific criteria.

A few real options: check whether your occupation matches one of the active category-based rounds in the table above; look into a Provincial Nominee Program stream, since a provincial nomination adds 600 CRS points on its own and operates independently of federal Express Entry rounds; or work toward Canadian work experience that would qualify you under CEC instead. None of these are guaranteed or instant, but they are real, current pathways rather than waiting on a general round that has not happened in years.

Category-based selection has dominated since 2023 and IRCC has given no public commitment to resume regular general rounds.
