IRCC invited 752 provincial nominees (lowest CRS 772) on Oct 13 and 2,500 Canadian Experience Class candidates (lowest CRS 519) on Oct 15.
IRCC held two Express Entry rounds this week. On 13 October 2026 it invited 752 Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) candidates with a lowest CRS score of 772. On 15 October it invited 2,500 Canadian Experience Class (CEC) candidates with a lowest CRS score of 519. Figures come from IRCC's published Express Entry rounds data, read on 15 October 2026.
What changed
The two rounds, with the three before them for comparison:
| Round | Date | Program | Invitations | Lowest CRS |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| #449 | 15 Oct | Canadian Experience Class | 2,500 | 519 |
| #448 | 13 Oct | Provincial Nominee Program | 752 | 772 |
| #447 | 1 Oct | Trades occupations | 3,500 | 476 |
| #446 | 29 Sep | Canadian Experience Class | 2,000 | 518 |
| #445 | 28 Sep | Provincial Nominee Program | 733 | 725 |
The PNP cut-off rose 47 points from the previous PNP round (725 on 28 September) to 772, while the invitation count was similar (752 against 733). The CEC cut-off moved only one point, from 518 to 519, with 500 more invitations. PNP candidates hold a 600-point nomination bonus, so their cut-offs sit far above other categories.
Who is affected
Candidates in the Express Entry pool with a provincial nomination were invited in the PNP round. Candidates with Canadian work experience who qualify for the CEC and scored 519 or higher at the time of the round were eligible for the CEC round, subject to being in the pool and meeting program conditions.
What it does not change
A cut-off is the lowest score invited in one round; it does not predict the next round's size or score, and a score above it earlier does not guarantee an invitation later.
An invitation to apply is not approval. Applications are still assessed individually and processing times are estimates.
What to do next
Check where you stand with our CRS calculator, review the Express Entry programme page and follow all rounds on our draws page. If your score is below recent cut-offs, language test results, French ability and provincial nomination are the usual levers.
