Alberta nominates skilled workers for Canadian PR through the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) — four worker streams, from Express Entry-aligned priority-sector pathways to a community-endorsed rural stream, each with its own EOI process and fees.
The Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) is Alberta's Provincial Nominee Program. Its four worker streams are the Alberta Express Entry Stream (EE-aligned, including Dedicated Health Care, Accelerated Tech, Law Enforcement, and Priority Sector pathways), the Alberta Opportunity Stream (a base stream requiring an Alberta job offer), the Rural Renewal Stream (community-endorsed, for designated rural communities), and the Tourism and Hospitality Stream. Most streams start with a scored Worker Expression of Interest ($135). A provincial nomination adds 600 points to your CRS score if you have or create an Express Entry profile. AAIP does not publish a fixed processing-time estimate — it instead reports which application-received dates it is currently assessing, and that backlog shifts over time.

Who Is This For?
- You have a full-time job offer from an Alberta employer (Opportunity, Rural Renewal, and Tourism and Hospitality streams) or an active Express Entry profile matching a priority sector (Express Entry Stream)
- You meet the stream's minimum language requirement (CLB 4 to CLB 7, depending on stream and occupation category)
