What IRCC charges for an Express Entry application
These are the fees IRCC itself charges to process a permanent residence application through Express Entry (FSW, CEC or FST) — not anything ITC iLand charges. The calculator above covers every application type IRCC has a fee for; the table below is the Express Entry subset.

Which fees are refundable
The right of permanent residence fee (RPRF) — the portion of the $1,590 fee above the $990 processing fee — is refundable if your application is refused, withdrawn, or if you decide not to land in Canada after being approved. You can also pay it later, any time before your visa is issued, rather than upfront with your application — that is what the "without RPRF" fee reflects.
The processing fee itself is not refundable, whatever the outcome of your application, and neither is the biometrics fee once your biometrics have been collected.
Government fees vs. everything else in your budget
The figures above are only what IRCC itself charges. They do not include the settlement funds you need to show for Express Entry — a separate requirement covered by the proof of funds checker — or the cost of language tests, an Educational Credential Assessment, police certificates, or a medical exam.
