Complete the UK Visitor Visa application online through the official UKVI portal. Fill in personal, travel, and financial details accurately — consistency is essential.

Prepare supporting documents: passport, bank statements (last 3–6 months), employment letter, payslips, property ownership documents, invitation letter (if visiting family), and travel itinerary.

Book and attend a biometric appointment at a VFS Global UK Visa Application Centre in your country. Submit fingerprints and photo.

Generally, you cannot extend a Standard Visitor Visa. In exceptional circumstances (medical emergencies, etc.), an extension may be possible. You cannot switch to a work or study visa from visitor status in most cases.
